Our client planned to open a specialized chain of stores selling flooring and doors. Our task was naming and branding. It was important to reflect the German roots of production and eco-friendliness as a key-feature of the assortment available in the store.
For the name, we have chosen HOLZ, which means “wood” in German – here are both the German roots and environmental friendliness.
In the logo, the letter H symbolizes an opened door and creates a perspective inside the logo: it leads the eye along the slanted lines into the core of the logo and brings the viewer to the name as the main accent.
In the corporate style, the concept of the perspective is evolved in typographies.
